Translated from Marathi to Hindi

Kisson ki Duniya is a rare attempt at translating children’s literature across two Indian languages: Marathi into Hindi. Most of the material for this anthology is drawn from the state-run monthly journal named Kishore. For almost five decades, Kishore has created a niche for itself in Marathi Children’s literature and commands equal popularity among adults.

This collection of short stories/anecdotes translated from Marathi into Hindi, probably for the first time, opens up the world of Marathi imaginative articulations for young adolescents to their Hindi speaking counterparts.

The stories in the anthology are basically in two parts and are chosen from a wide spectrum of themes. Generally, stories in the first part are imaginative whereas the narratives in the second contain biographical accounts/anecdotes from the lives of inspirational personalities available in Marathi.
